Description
This painting is dedicated to the memory of both of my grandfathers who worked for the Great Northern Railroad. Mickey's Diner Car is a landmark restaurant designed to resemble the dining cars of the Art Deco period. Located in St. Paul, MN, it has served customers 24 hours a day since 1939. I photographed Mickey's after getting off work late one night in 1979. Years later, I am pleased to finally capture it on canvas.
