Description
I tend to paint in the same way that I photograph; focusing on a close up perspective that suggests there is more to see just outside the boundaries of the canvas. I prefer to leave it up to the viewer to create a more panoramic view in his or her imagination of the scene I have depicted. Though my painting focuses attention on the posture and eye contact of these two American Flamingos, there can be no doubt that even though they are out of sight, both of these birds have legs to stand on - and that many of their flamingo neighbors are looking on with interest too.
